Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to make a song?
You can fill in the generator without one. When you press Create song, ChatUp asks you to sign up or sign in, then brings you back here with everything you typed still in place.
How much does a song cost?
Each song uses credits from your ChatUp plan. The exact number is shown on the Create song button once you’re signed in, before anything is charged. Plans are listed on the pricing page. See plans.
Can I use my own lyrics?
Yes. Choose “Use my lyrics” and paste them in, leaving a blank line between sections. Start a section with Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Intro or Outro to name it.
Can I make music without vocals?
Yes. Switch to Instrumental and ChatUp makes a track with no singing — useful for videos, studying and background music.
Can I download my songs?
Yes. Every finished song can be played on the page and downloaded as an MP3. Your songs also stay in your ChatUp history.
