The interview is tomorrow and you have been rehearsing in the shower. The Interview Coach gives you a better room: paste the job description and your resume, and it runs a mock interview in the style of that company, one question at a time, then scores each answer for structure, evidence, and length. It also helps you turn a messy career into six stories that cover almost anything.

Plain chat will list common interview questions. This assistant plays the interviewer, follows up the way a real one would, and remembers what you said earlier so it can catch inconsistencies. For the resume and cover letter themselves, the job hunt guides below cover the writing. For salary math, hand the offer to the Financial Analyst. For nerves on the day, the Wellness Advisor has a five-minute routine.

In ChatUp the Interview Coach is strongest over voice, because saying an answer out loud is the whole point. GPT is a good default interviewer, Claude gives careful, specific feedback on long answers, and you can switch models mid-conversation to face a different style of questioner. Upload the job posting as a file so every question stays relevant.

What to bring it

  • The job description and the company name
  • Your resume or a plain list of what you have done
  • The questions you are afraid of and why
  • The format: panel, technical, case, or a coffee chat that is secretly an interview

Pair it with

  • Voice chat to practice speaking answers, not typing them
  • Financial Analyst to evaluate and negotiate the offer
  • Wellness Advisor for a calm-down routine before you walk in

Prompts to start with

  • Run a mock interview for this role. Ask one question at a time, follow up like a real interviewer, and give feedback at the end: [paste job description]

  • Here is my resume. Turn it into six stories in the situation, action, result format that together cover leadership, conflict, failure, and impact: [paste resume]

  • Ask me the five hardest questions for a [role] at a [type of company], and after each answer tell me what a skeptical hiring manager would still doubt.

  • I have to answer "tell me about yourself" for a [role]. Draft a ninety-second version from this background, then a thirty-second version: [paste background]

Replace anything in [brackets], paste it into ChatUp, and pick the model that fits.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Interview Coach do technical interviews?
Yes. Tell it the stack or the domain and it will ask technical and system design questions, then critique your reasoning as well as your answer.
Will it tell me honestly if an answer is weak?
Ask for blunt feedback and it will give it, with the specific sentence to fix. Gentle by default, direct on request.
How many mock interviews should I do?
Two or three full runs plus targeted practice on your weakest questions is usually enough. The stories matter more than the repetitions.
