Which AI Assistant Do I Need?
Six situational questions. One of 19 assistants that fits what you are actually trying to do.
Question 1 of 6
What would you most like to walk away with by the end of this week?
ChatUp ships with 19 assistants, each one a chat that already knows its job: a Chef that plans dinner from your fridge, a Lawyer that reads the lease with you, a Study Helper that quizzes you, an Interview Coach that plays the hiring manager. They run on the same five model families as a plain chat, but they hold a role, remember the context that matters, and ask better follow-up questions.
This quiz asks six concrete questions about your week, the kind of answer you want back, and the thing you would hand over first, then matches you to the assistant most likely to earn a spot on your home screen. Your result page explains what it does, when to use it instead of a plain chat, what to bring it, and four prompts to paste in.

Assistants versus a plain chat
A plain chat with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or DeepSeek can do almost anything if you set it up well every time. An assistant is that setup done for you: a role, a way of asking questions, and a sense of what a good answer looks like for that job. The Chef remembers your allergies for the whole conversation. The Interview Coach waits for your answer before moving on. The Research Assistant asks for sources by default.
The right assistant is the one that matches what you are trying to do, not the one with the most impressive name. Most people end up with two or three favorites and a plain chat for everything else. In ChatUp you can also switch the model family under any assistant mid-conversation, so the role stays the same while the voice changes.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a ChatUp assistant?
- A chat that starts with a role and a purpose already in place, such as Chef or Interview Coach. It runs on the same model families as a normal chat but behaves like a specialist from the first message.
- Can I use more than one assistant?
- Yes. All 19 are available on web, iPhone, and Android, and many tasks work best when you hand a result from one assistant to another, like a Business Planner outline into the Marketing Expert.
- Do assistants use a specific AI model?
- No. Pick any of the five model families under an assistant and switch mid-conversation. The role stays the same; the writing style and strengths shift with the model.
- Is this quiz free?
- Yes. No sign-up and no email. Your result page is a normal link you can bookmark or share, and the picker below it shows all 19 assistants so you can browse the rest.
