Frequently asked questions

What is ChatUp MCP?

MCP lets an AI assistant use ChatUp’s creative tools. Your assistant can check your balance, find available models, make images, videos, and songs, and retrieve the finished files.

How do credits work?

Your existing ChatUp balance works here too. Each creation has a credit cost based on its tool and model. Your assistant can get a quote before creating; connection checks do not use credits.

Where do my creations go?

Finished results return to your assistant and save to your ChatUp history. Open your creations on the web to view, play, or download them.

Do I need a connection key?

Yes. Create a private key above and add it to your MCP client’s configuration. Choose read-only access or allow creation with a limit per request. You can disconnect a key at any time.

Which AI tools can connect?

Cursor, Claude Code, and other MCP clients that support an HTTP server URL and an Authorization header. Choose your client above for setup instructions.

Can I browse before signing in?

Yes. Explore the setup and ChatUp’s tools freely. Sign in when you’re ready to connect your assistant or create something.
